Abbey has been riding with us for so long, I don't really know where to begin.

The first time I saw Abbey she was laying on the ground, dazed and confused, after taking a very bad fence. She shook off the dirt, climbed back on her pony, and headed right back at the same fence again. I should have known then that Abbey has a lotta grit.

Not even losing her leg in a motorcycle accident ten years ago slowed her down. She just "brushed" it off, slipped on her "new leg" and trotted back into the pen. Ya know what.............we could all use a little "Abbey" in us!!!!

We have been through so many horses together, so many World Show Top Ten Placings, so many Top 20 buckles, it is simply impossible to imagine a horse show without Abbey. I guess I will have to retire when Abbey calls it quits!!!

Abbey is currently riding the real love of her life, Metallic Zippo, better known across the country as "Happy". We call him Happy cuz that is exactly the way he makes you feel every time you ride him. There will never be another horse in the world like him. He starts out the day with showmanship and ends the day when the show is over, usually riding all the classes in between. He is truly a "Once in a lifetime horse".

Their show record speaks for itself. In 06 Abbey decided it was time to try and win a Top 20 Amateur Buckle with Happy, AND THEY DID. In 07 Abbey decided to raise the bar and she finished #4. In 08 she had to concentrate on her real estate business so we cut back her show schedule. She and Happy were trilled to finish #9 on the Top 20 list.

Anyone who has ever met Abbey recognizes her beautiful smile right off the bat. Well trust me when I tell you.... HAPPY PUT IT THERE!!!!
