The very first time I saw Blake riding a horse in Conyers, Ga., I knew I wanted to get to know him better.
It wasn't easy. He was shy and quiet, and I think he thought he was being stalked by a crazy old lady.
But I wouldn't give up. I never do !!!!
Watching him ride I could tell that he was very good at what he was doing........
that he loved what he was doing..........
and that he was doing it for all the right reasons.
When you meet him you will know it too.
I love watching young trainers come into the business.
Their enthusiasm excites me.
Their talent amazes me.
Their energy......well, I gotta admit, I am a little jealous of their energy......
But Blake has something more. He has the moral character that we should all strive for.
He is the man you hope your son grows up to be, or the fella you hope your daughter marries.
And on top of it all, he is one heck of a horse trainer!!!!!
I am proud to call him my friend.
Now I wish I could find a way to get him to come work for me !!!!
